Spelling Activities Create a word search using graph paper for other students to solve. Have student go into Puzzlemaker.com to create a crossword puzzle using definitions. Word Detective- look for little words in spelling words. Type words 5 times each using a different font or color for each one. Give the alphabet letters a dollar value: A=$1, B=$2, C=$3, etc. Have student figure out the value of each spelling word. A more challenging idea, give the change value such as A= 25 cents, B= 50 cents, etc. Teacherszine's Favorite Educational Books Link Word Wall Activities Using a T-chart write all the nouns on one side and all the verbs on the other. Adjectives, adverbs or pronouns can be substituted. Using graph paper create a word search for others to solve. Use a spelling activity from above with the word wall words. Ask students to write word wall words which have a certain number of syllables. Students can use the Sign Language Alaphbet to spell out words. Here is a copy of the Sign Language Alphabet. Have students play hangman! Play Word Wall Bingo!Reproduce the Word Wall Bingo Sheet and laminate or use as is. Have students write words onto the squares of their game card with a vis-a-vis marker, if the card is laminated or with a pen if not laminated. Play BINGO!
